The Polk County Farmland Preservation Board will assist the Polk County Soil & Water Conservation District in holding, maintaining and monitoring an Agricultural Conservation Easement on a Polk County beef cattle farm. The 400-acre Frank Smith Farm consists of rolling pastures and almost two miles of stream. Th is conservation easement protects the farmland and water resources in perpetuity. Th e ADFP Trust Fund monies were designated for the transaction costs of the farm to be held in an agricultural conservation easement by the Soil & Water District.
