Farmland Preservation

 

The NC ADFP Trust Fund held educational workshops on the topic of farmland preservation in November 2007.

These workshops targeted county and state government officials, non-profit conservation groups, landowners, and others who recognize the importance of agriculture in North Carolina and are interested in the growth, development, & sustainability of North Carolina farms. 

Topics for the workshops included:  NC ADFP Trust Fund Application Process, Agricultural Districts, Farmland Protection Plans, State and Federal Farmland Preservation Programs & Funding Sources, Conservation Easements & Agricultural Agreements, Farm Transition and Agricultural Development Program/
